Achieving social outcomes through public procurement
SERU led the research activity within SDRC’s partnership with Social Enterprise East Midlands’ BEST Procurement EQUAL funded development partnership. Whilst the BEST Procurement partners worked on a wide range of market interventions with public procurers and social enterprise suppliers in the East Midlands to improve the correlation between public spending and social outcomes, SERU undertook one of the largest and longest qualitative field study projects in this field in the UK, working alongside organisations measuring changes over time and testing theory on how that change occurs. Following on from their involvement in the BEST Procurement Programme, SDRC intend to continue and extend their research into topics relating to social enterprise. |
