BEST Procurement UK Regional dissemination workshops

Introduction
Sustainable Development Research Centre (SDRC) is working as the research partner on the BEST Procurement Programme.  As part of the dissemination exercise SDRC are proposing to hold a series of workshops in each of the regions of the UK. Each event is designed to create a forum for communicating the research findings and share best practice with leading practitioners in the area of social enterprise development and public sector procurement.

Aim of the workshop
The aim of each workshop was to raise awareness of the BEST procurement programme and for the audience to think more strategically about the implication of procurement and share best practice.

Objective
The first workshop was held in the East Midlands and looked at current research findings from the Public Sector and Social Enterprises and identify key themes.  Discussion centred around identifying key themes to explore in future procurement programme and for audiences to think more strategically about the implication of procurement and share best practice.
